Who was Stalin?



STALIN

One of the most powerful and murderous dictators in history, Stalin was the supreme ruler of the Soviet Union for a quarter of a century. His regime of terror caused the death and suffering of tens of millions, but he also oversaw the war machine that played a key role in the defeat of Nazism.


His real name was Iósif Vissariónovich Dzhugashvili Geladze.He was born in Gori (Georgia)on 18 December 1879. His
father worked as a shoemaker.


He studied in a parrochial school. He was an excellent student and at the age of 14 he was accepted at Ortoxo Seminary from Tilfis, where he stayed until 1.899. Finally, he was expelled because of his marxist ideas.




From 1,901 onwards he joined Lenin´s parties which were promoting Proletariat Revolution. In 1,917 he entered the Central Commite. He participated in October Revolution and he became People´s Comissar of national affairs until 1,923.



When Lenin died in 1,924, Stalin took the control of Comunism Party and he expelled his principal enemis like Trotsky. Then he insisted on collectivize the countryside and industrialize the URRS.
Finally he got it but a lot people were murdered and workers were exploted.

In August 1,939 a peace treaty  between Hitler and Stalin was signed, but Hitler didn´t obey it and he invested URRS in December 1,940. Finally, Stalin won fter the battel of Stanlingrado (1,943).

After The Second World War, Stalin controlled a part of Berlin and eastern countries like: Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.

In 1,950 he became ill and finally he died in 1,953 because of a  stroke.




FAMILY

 
Yakaterine Svandize
Stalin got marriend twice. His first wife, Yakaterine Svandize, died in 1,907, just four years after their wedding. They had a son, Yákov Dzhugasvili. Stalin lost contact with him after her death.
Yákov Dzhugasvili  was a soviet soldier during The Second World War. He was caught by the german army. Hitler offered Stalin te possibility of leaving his son in freedom if they would do the same with Von Paulus ( german genereal during The Second World War). Satalin´s answer was they didn´t change people with high military positions by a simple soldier. Finally his son was murdered. 
This way people thought  Stalin wanted the best for them and he could left appart his feelings.

Nadezha Alliluyeva



Nadezha Alliluyeva was the second one. Tehy had two children:

Vasily Iosifovich Dzhugashvili was born the 21th of march 1,921. He became Air General of the Russian army because of his father´s influence. After Satalin´s death, he was accused becauce he colaborated with other foreign powers and he even went to jail. 
Svetlana Alilluyeva was the only Stalin´s daughter. She works as a Writer.
